This special issue of [in]Transition (11.3) emerges from a collaborative endeavor to explore the intersection between videographic criticism and aging studies, through interventions that denounce gendered configurations of ageism within audiovisual cultures, while advancing a gerontophilic practice-based research that gives shape, form, and discourse to an “affirmative” conception of old age.
